Book #1 from the series: Love Under

Love Under Fault Lines Special Edition:

A Contemporary LGBTQ+ Romance of Love, Betrayal, Secrets, and Complicated Relationships

About

Beneath every relationship lies a fault line. The question is: what happens when it finally begins to move?

Love, friendship, loyalty, desire, and truth collide in Love Under Fault Lines, where relationships are tested by the things people say, the things they hide, and the feelings they can no longer ignore.

Set against the backdrop of Texas, Marcus J. King invites readers into a world where emotions run deep, connections become complicated, and every choice has the potential to shift everything.

What begins as familiar relationships soon reveals something far more layered as the characters navigate attraction, heartbreak, friendship, betrayal, identity, and the uncomfortable truths waiting beneath the surface.

With a hint of truth wrapped in fiction, Love Under Fault Lines explores the messy reality of connection, the moments that make us question who we love, why we love them, and how far we’re willing to go when the ground beneath a relationship no longer feels secure.

Some connections will surprise you. Some choices will frustrate you. And some truths may change the way you see everything that came before them.

How complicated is your love?

Welcome back beneath the fault lines.

Praise for this book

I really enjoyed Love Under Fault Lines, Volume 1. It was an emotional read with a lot going on between the characters, especially when it came to love, trust, family, and the choices they made. I liked that the characters weren't perfect and that their decisions had real consequences.
The relationships between Oscar, Ava, and Dexter kept me interested because there were so many emotions involved. At times I was frustrated with some of the characters and the choices they made, but I think that also made the story more engaging because I wanted to see how everything would eventually work out.
I also liked the themes of forgiveness and rebuilding trust. The book shows that when relationships are damaged, fixing things isn't always easy or immediate. Sometimes people have to be honest about their mistakes and take responsibility for what they've done.
There were some dramatic moments that kept me turning the pages, and I liked the emotional tension throughout the story. I wouldn't say every part was perfect, but overall I found it enjoyable and I was invested in the characters and what would happen to them.
Overall, I'd give this book 4 stars. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys emotional romance, complicated relationships, family drama, and characters who have to deal with the consequences of their choices. I'm definitely curious to see where the story goes from here.
